It was hosted by our New Vicar Canon Richard Hancock.
Carols were sung, each section performed a presentation with a Christmas theme. Our District Commissioner David Mcgregor made presentations of the Chief Scouts Gold Award to Katie Warrack, Ben Griffiths, and George Hallett, all three of these together with Isaac Carlyle–Clarke and Harvey Gothard will be attending a District Presentation evening to receive their actual certificates sometime in the early New Year.
Skip John and Skip Skip Rob made presentations of Proficiency Badges firstly to members of the Beaver section and then to members of the Cub Pack our usual roars of Bravo in approval, nearly raised the roof of the Church.
Canon Richard gave us a very short though thought provoking sermon, this was followed by a visual presentation of what the young people had been up to throughout 2018.
Rob then announced that the 2019 Family Camp has been booked for Butchers Coppice ( Bournemouth) for the weekend Saturday the 4th – Monday the 6th of May and that Summer camp would be held in the Peak District 27th of July-3rd of August.
The service concluded by us all singing Ding Dong Merrily on High and ending prayers.
