Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts joined groups from East Dorset District at Buddens Campsite near Bere Regis for the first bank holiday weekend in May.

Cubs and Scouts arrived on Saturday morning and set up their own tents before having an afternoon on the climbing tower and pothole hill.

On Sunday, Squirrels and Beavers joined us for St George's day celebration which had to be moved into the marquee due to a huge downpour. The weather cleared in time for the Squirrels and Beavers to try out fencing, fire lighting, the climbing tower and craft activities before their campfire.

The Cubs and Scouts tried archery, axe throwing, air rifles and zorbing. After lunch, they tried different types of crafts including tie-die t-shirts and then after tea when the Squirrels and Beavers had left it was time for their campfire.

The last morning, while the camp leaders and parents took down the marquee and tents, the Cubs and Scouts went to the water and tried paddle boarding, kayaking and finished the day with some backwoods cooking.
