1st Woodcutts invited to Bishop Stephen's Installation

Yesterday members of 1st Woodcutts Scouts were invited to represent Dorset Scouts at the enthronement of the new Bishop of Salisbury.

Bishop Stephen grew up in Dorset, and served as a vicar in Poole. He is also a Scout. His Bishops Staff which he is carrying in this photo is made from his Scout stave.

As part of the service he gave £10 to everyone in the congregation giving out £10,000. He asked us all to use the £10 to make a difference in the world by using it to help others. That's about as Scouting as it gets - I wonder where our £10 will end up... watch this space...
