New HQ - Grand Opening a Huge Success!
See the full story in video further down this page!
On the afternoon of 18th June 2011 a large crowd of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, Leaders, families, friends, benefactors, contractors and general supporters gathered to celebrate the official opening of the new HQ.

The building was officially opened by our principal benefactor Richard T. Adlem accompanied by Phil Harding from Channel 4's Time Team, who then went on to break the flag for the first time as the Group stood to attention. Following some short speeches and presentations to Richard Adlem and Chris & Christine Hardiman, everyone was able to look around the new facility and enjoy a buffet lunch. To conclude the afternoon a camp fire was lit and everyone joined in singing songs traditional and new.
"...an excellent facility, it must be one of the best anywhere." - Sir Ronald Stuart Paul, President, East Dorset District Scouts
"...an amazing foundation from which to continue to build and grow Scouting in the area." - Phil Harding, C4 Time Team
"...it was very gratifying to see how the group is flourishing and with such a magnificent new HQ to take them into the future." - Barry Howes, former GSL 1st Woodcutts
